Micro Brewery from Caseros, Buenos Aires Argentina
Ricardo 'Semilla' Aftyka set up Juguetes Perdidos Cerveza Artisanal in Argentina in 2015 with 2 other partners (Sergio ‘Pisa’ Picciani & Rodrigo ‘Ian’ Loran, all home brewers for nearly 15 years) and took the craft beer scene in Buenos Aires by storm becoming the highest award winning brewery in Latin America.
6 years later they also moved production to Juguetes Perdidos Europa where they also developed mixed fermentation and sour program.
Dividing his time between Argentina and the brewery in Spain, Semilla makes amazing hop bombs and interesting but easy drinkable sours.
Juguetes Perdidos - the pioneering Argentinian craft brewery based in Buenas Aires is named after a song from Los Redondos, a 90s local indie band, commemorating the death of a fan by the police after one of their concerts, addressing political ideals and freedom Argentinian youth have to face in life. 'Juguetes Perdidos' means ‘Lost Toys’ in Spanish. Apart from their emblematic hop-bombs, they also have a selection of spontaneous fermentation and farmhouse ales, very smooth and pleasant sour beers.
