For the fifth time in a row, the boutique craft beer fest - PCIB is about to happen, and this year we expect it to be even more exciting.
The format always aims to present new to our country, but well established top names from the European craft scene, as well as beers of old acquaintances specially prepared for the event.
The Bulgarian craft beer fan will not only be able to try new and different styles of beer from the country and Europe, but also get to know the creators personally. And this year, 100% of them confirmed their personal participation, with 100% enthusiasm to meet you - the Bulgarian audience.
What to expect from the fifth edition of PCIB on 30.09.23, which will once again take place in and around the shared space of Koncept Space & White Stork Republic in the capital city?
A total of 17 breweries will present two of their exclusive beers during the one-day festival. Also, there will be many collaborations with giant, overseas names in craft beer making.
As always, the organizers White Stork Republic, Koncept Space and our humble Pivoteka team invite new faces from the heavy craft scene. You will have the opportunity to meet for the first time unsurpassed favorites from the West, top breweries in terms of rating and quality of their beers.
Their debut in Bulgaria will make: OPHIUSSA BREWING CO(PT), BARONA BREWING CO(PT), TANKBUSTERS(PL), MAKTOOB BREWING(RO), BOTTLEHOP(BG) and ZHAR PTITSA MEADERY(BG) project.
From our long-time acquaintances will attend the phenomenal TOTENHOPFEN(LU) and beloved THE GARDEN BREWERY(HR), SIBEERIA(CZ), PENINSULA(ES), DOIS CORVOS(PT), HORIZONT(HU), NEVEL Wild Ales( NL).
As usual, the Bulgarian participation will not be ignored - in addition to the host White Stork Beer Co. with a new beer premiere, the brewers from MELTUM, Lovech, KAZAN Artizan and SHANo5, Sofia will also serve surprises.
This year again, in the days around the official festival, a series of accompanying events will take place in the form of "TTO & meet the brewer" in some of the favotite craft locations in the city:
⁃ On September 28th, Pivoteka showroom in Sofia will present not one, but three breweries, each with 2 beer elixirs - the Portuguese OPHIUSSA BREWING CO, BARONA BREWING CO and DOIS CORVOS, who traveled from the farthest point.
⁃ HIGH FIVE taproom will host 4 beers from the Czech SIBEERIA BREWERY on its taps during the TapTakeover on September 29th, of course in the presence of the brewers.
⁃ Dissident Beer Shop will be hosting a Tap Takeover for Tankbusters.Co from Poland on October the 1st. Brewers Michal and Kamil will present 3 exclusive beers.
⁃ Restaurant Aubergine craft beer - craft food will organize a special menu, and charismatic story-teller Matthias from NEVEL Wild Ales will explain how to combine our dishes with special beers.
