With the upcoming holiday season and due to the new lock-down, experienced and amateur 'chefs' are hanging out more than before around the stove.
We already published an article on pairing food with suitable beer styles last May. If you missed to read our guide, you may catch up HERE.
So today, we open a new chapter about the huge tome of "Beer and Food".
We are sharing some outstanding culinary tips with beer as the center of attention. Given that today is our beloved St. Nicholas Day, we came up with the following simple fish dishes:
* Steamed fish fillet with beer:
Take any cleaned filleted fish, cut into pieces, drizzle with lemon juice, sprinkle some salt, black and white pepper over it.
Wrap each piece of fish in a slice of bacon and fry in butter for a moment.
Add sliced carrots, celery and bay leaf. Pour lager beer over everything and simmer on low heat for 35 minutes.
Best consumed with a kettle sour (Berliner Weisse or Gose), a spontaneous fermented wile Ale or a light Pilsener..
* Fish Fillets in beer batter:
Take some sliced, de-boned white fish fillets, add pepper and salt.
Prepare the batter by adding lager beer to eggs, flour and salt and beat them together.
Fry in hot pan with plenty of oil.
Best consumed with a fresh Pale ale or hoppy IPA.
Follow our quick and ready recipes!
Next time we will tell you how the fasting party on Christmas Eve could be at least a little different.
Don’t hesitate to publish pictures of your creations below! :-)
Cheers!
